I've been practicing a new kind of finishing this week. I finished my rough wood niddy noddy with some strong wood glue, superfine sandpaper, and three coats of Tung Oil. I love the new color and feel.
I've also started a couple of new pairs of socks for Michelle:
Blue Coleen Socks (brilliant pattern by Jolene) out of Dyed in the Wool colorway Yeti, and some pink Zen String yarn is being made into some plain stockinette:
I think the Zen String looks like watermelon - one of my pals at SnB think it looks like Starbursts, either way it is the perfect yarn to brighten up the dreary first day of spring here in RI. (Its raining, but at least its 56 degrees out!)
