Usually I have what is referred to as a black thumb...I mostly kill plants. Except, for some reason, for nematanthus. Commonly referred to as a goldfish plant. Once about 7 years ago, I saw one at a garden shop, and bought a small cutting for $2. It turns out, not only are these plants easy for me to grow, they are easy to propogate. Just take a cutting, add it to the soil of a plant already growing, and leave it for a while. It grows its own roots, and you can repot it. Over the years, I have pushed a number of my plant babies off on family members. This weekend I did some repotting, and all of the bigger plants dont fit in my window anymore, so I talked a couple of coworkers into adopting a plant of their own. (Seriously, I cannot seem to stop propogating them...when I cut them back, I cant stop myself from sticking the cuttings into the soil.) This photo is of the newly repotted/adopted plants.
Special thanks to my sister who did most of the watering work to keep these plants alive the last few years!
