I continue to be a blogging slacker. Luckily, I am still knitting. Well, knitting, crocheting, knit related beading, sewing, traveling, and taking knitting classes. (Now you know why I have been too busy to blog.)
Saturday I took a great class on Cables and Fully Fashioned Knitted Garments with Melissa Leapman. Melissa is a cool sweater designer, and an excellent instructor. I enjoyed the class, and wish we souls have bhad more time. Luckily, the handout she provided has extra exercises on it to try out the cabling and increase/decrease techniques she taught us. Two thumbs up for Melissa. I think the ladies at the yarn shop that organized the class are super nice, however, we were quite cramped. If I decided to take a long class there again, I think I would bring a pillow to sit on.
I went to Philly to visit a very cool friend Saturday Night to visit, eat some sushi, and torture her with tales of the class. (She is not a knitter.) She loved my new knitting badg, so we went to the store to pick out some fabric for a bag of her very own. (I'll show you when its done.)
WHAT THE HECK HAVE I BEEN MAKING? (Click on any pic for a larger Image)
I have been knitting my sock pal sock, but it look pretty much the same (only longer), so no pic today. Jen's beaded hat - Finished
CROCHET EVERYTHING BAG KNIT KITS- These beaded anything bags are going to contain a little knit kit for inside of a knitting bag. I decided to send one, along with a Knitting File to my Sockapaloooza Pal.
BEADED STITCH MARKERS - I pulled out the beads to make a couple of stitch markers for the Knit Kits and couldn't stop! Finally, I ran out of Headpins to twist them on, but I have more on order, and a bunch of markers are on safety pins waiting for the headpins to come in.
