While I was away, I had a chance to work on my Clapotis, and finally got to the fun part - dropping stitches. Hopefully it will move along a little faster now. For some reason I am STILL just not so into knitting this project, but I would love to complete and wear it while the weather is still cool.
Also, while I was away, this guy grew. We have been hanging out this am. Unlike the Murph, he enjoys apples and bananas. Actually, he is sort of a puppy garbage disposal, and eats lint and dust bunnies, so I think he was just happy to be eating something no one was yelling at him about.
Before I left last week, I did another WIP-assessment. I realized that I do not have to complete the second sock for all of the test knitting socks I have done...I can call just the one sock a sample and it is complete. I also ripped my bainbridge scarf, because I do not think there was enough yarn to complete it, and my WONDERFUL purple socks, because I started the heelflap too soon after the calf shaping and they look weird. I LOVED this yarn and pattern together, and will recast them on at a later date.
That's right - I am now down to 7 WIPs.
And really...since i have gotten down to 7 from 15...I cast on ANOTHER project:
I'm not sure whats up with me, noro, and small stripes lately, but this is the Silk Kerchief (Ravelry Link) I mentioned the other day, and I am not sure my mom is going to get a chance to try it.
OK, so thats 8. I am trying though.
'Cause I just NEVER wanted to finish those noro silk garden socks. I like this yarn. I liked the pattern. I just didn't want to knit anything toe-up-magic-looped-on-size-one-needles.
Happily, that is easily remedied. I have ripped the socks, and reallocated the yarn. The Silk Kerchief (Ravelry Link) pattern I have chosen is by Kate Osborn. Check out her website for other really cute patterns she has designed. Actually, I am hoping to maybe get my mom to make the silk kerchief for me. She has been wanting to try her hand at lace, and it would be a good practice for her...super easy but still triangle lace shaped.
In other news, it is washing day:
Often, I lay my socks flat to dry, today I thought it would look cool if I hung them on the line. That is 20.5 pairs - most are mine, but the half pair belongs to Nean.

In other news, I scooped up a couple of pairs of super cute mary-jane style shoes at the llbean outlet this weekend. They were having a 30% off everything in the store sale...and its ALREADY an outlet, so the prices were great.

The moment of truth comes tonight. Mom is going to try Acer on, and I will find out whether I have to rip or it is completed!
And, I made a couple more box bags for my aunts. I like the zipper pull on this one:

I finished Acer on Saturday. It still needs to be blocked. And since it is for my mom, and she's not here to check out the length, I didn't actually cast off the sleeves. I will do so after she checks the length.
I am almost done with my first arch shaped sock. It was fun to knit, I did the whole heel turn and foot last night. (Isn't this a great color of Koigu?)
In other news...my sister and I went to a fun "abs" class at the gym yesterday - you work on core resistance with those giant exercise balls - now I am sore, and I want one for my house. Anybody have a giant exercise ball preferred brand or purchasing place? If so, why?
