A quick note: Today is the last day to enter the Salsa Contest.
Here is my Hemlock Ring Blanket (Ravelry Link), all blocked out. My guest bed is modeling it in its intended future purpose - as a cozy decoration for the end of my bed - if I ever finish the quilt that goes with it.
Here is a close up of the center, post blocking:
And here are the details:
Pattern: Hemlock Ring Blanket - Pattern downloaded from the link in the sidebar of this blog.
Yarn: Cascade 220
Color: 9461- Lime Heather (I recommend not mixing this up with the celery heather half way through knitting your blanket, or you will have two very nice balls of cascade to give your sister, wait that may have just been me)
Recipient: Believe it or not, its actually for me. Eventually to decorate the end of my bed.
Notes: this didn't actually take me that long to knit, but it did take over 4 hours to cast off. I didn't do the best job blocking it (which was much more difficult than I was expecting), when unpinned, there is a little puckering. I think I may reblock it. Regardless, I love it!
And a bonus FO:
Yesterday I cast on and off this cute little hat I knit using Michelle's handspun.
We had a little swap, and I love the yarn she sent me so much, I wound it up and started knitting myself a hat using this pattern (ravelry link) as a guide.
The yarn is Merino Bamboo Worsted Weight, and the colorway is Tipsy. I think I have enough left to make myself a short pair of fingerless gloves, so I will be totally styling wearing them at my desk this winter when I am too cheap to turn up the heat. (Here's the Ravelry Link.)
And yes Nean, I will start working on your sweater again now.
